I come home in the morning light,
My mother says "When you gonna live your life right?"
Oh,mother,dear,
We're not the fortunate ones,
And girls, they wanna have fun
Oh, girls, just wanna have fun.

This song is an old favourite of mine, introduced to me by my mom when I was 13 or 14. Though I don't exactly know who Cyndi Lauper is (she's famous during the 80s), I love this song simply because it celebrates the fact that girls just want to have fun. And today while on the train back to Subang Jaya to meet up with 2 of my best and closest friends since..like...forever, this song came up in my ipod. I almost smiled because it was like the cosmic knew I was going to have my own share of fun this afternoon. I love having Girl's Day Out. For as long as I can remember, Amal, Sarah and I have been having our GDOut since we were 14. And it would always be @ Sunway Pyramid, because that was the only closest shopping complex that we could go. From no Jusco then to new wings with TGIF (my fav food place) now. (Pyramid tu dh bosan dgn ktorg rasenye) It would be the same old ritual : lunch followed by a movie (sometimes a double movie) and lastly shopping. (except now Amal's doing the driving instead of our dads since she's the one with the car). Even at 22 we still aren't tired of the same old ritual.
So today, we decided that we were going to catch a movie. I'm not good @ commenting movies...because in general I like all movies. Action-packed ones, maybe a little less (not a fan of adrenaline-pumping stuff). Horrors, I try to avoid at all cost from watching them in the dark cinemas (except for Constantine because Keanu Reeves was in it, haha). But I love drama-movies (You've Got Mail & Chocolat are my top fav). And historical-slash-epic movies (LOTR, Kingdom Of Heaven, Alexander). Maybe because I simply love history. And animation (Toy Story being my absolute fav. Watch out for Toy Story 3 next year).
While my cousin and I were standing in line to purchase the movie tix, we came to realize that we haven't chosen a particular movie to watch yet. After narrowing down the options (sorry Public Enemies), it was between The Proposal and Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past. Couldn't exactly decide so I listed out the pros and cons. "Gfs past ade Jennifer Garner. And a wedding dress + wedding cake". "I love Jenn Garner", "But Proposal ade Ryan Reynolds" "He's hot" (Amal smiling wickedly) "I know" (me grinning evilly) No need to guess we ended up watching which movie. It was extremely hilarious, and I love Sandra's character. Icy queen and in control of her life (lol). Plus she was wearing Louboutin's black pumps. Next to Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin is my fav man. You can tell it's his shoes through his red soles trademark. So the first moment I saw Margaret's (Sandra Bullock) shoes, I was like "OMG, she's wearing Louboutin's".
Aside from the shoes, I think the movie was good. Jenn Garner would have to wait, for now...
I wanted to watch G.I Joe but it'll only be in cinemas on the 6th of August. Yes I know it's an action-packed movie which I said I'm not a fan of but I like Channing Tatum and he's in it. Action stunts aside, I'm sure I can be happy just by watching him. LOL!
